Townships in Dickinson County to renovate parks with solar farm grant
DICKINSON COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - Three Dickinson County townships will see new construction for parks and recreational areas.
Felch, Norway and Sagola Townships are using their Groveland Mine Solar Township Recreation Grants from Circle Power.
Felch is adding two pickleball courts to a park and campground. Sagola will be upgrading the facilities at Channing Park.
Norway Township will build a pavilion to replace a worn basketball court.
Dickinson Area Community Foundation Executive Director Tamara Juul says Circle Power is committed to giving back to the Dickinson County community.
“They are investing money back into our community,” Juul said. “They have a scholarship that they’re awarding and also the recreational grant that is ongoing, as well as the three township grants.”
Each of the three grants are worth $25,000.
