Menominee Woman charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree

MENOMINEE, Mich. (WLUC) - Bailee Rae Miller, 29, of Menominee has been charged with a single count of Criminal Sexual Conduct- First Degree (Multiple Variables). A felony carrying up to a maximum penalty of life or any term of years in prison and requiring a mandatory lifetime electronic monitoring and sex offender registration.

Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffery T. Rogg announced the charge on Saturday.

According to court documents and information presented in open court, the charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Menominee Police Department regarding incidents of sexual assault alleged to have occurred during the month of October, 2026, in Menominee.

“I am committed to seeking justice for these victims. Because this is an ongoing investigation, I urge anyone with additional information to contact the Menominee City Police Department of my office,” said Rogg.

Miller was allegedly employed as a school bus driver by Choice Transportation, a contractual service provider for Menominee Area public Schools. Prosecutor Rogg further noted the investigation remains active and ongoing, and that additional criminal charges are expected to be filed as more information comes to light.

“Behavior such as this is reprehensible,” said Rogg. “The selfish exploitation of the children of our community simply will bot be tolerated, and I will aggressively pursue and prosecute those who harm these most vulnerable citizens of our community. I appreciate the excellent work of my law enforcement partners in identifying and arresting this suspect so quickly.”

Miller was arraigned before the Magistrate Todd Roach in the 95-A District Court on October 23, 2-026. At Rogg’s request, Magistrate Roach established a bond at $500,000. Should Miller post bond, she is ordered to have no contact with the victims or anyone under the age of 18.

A Probable Cause Conference and a Preliminary Examination will be scheduled by the Court at a future date.
