CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. (WLUC) Documents provided by the Iron County District Court reveal new details in the case against 33-year-old Kelly Cochran.
Cochran is accused of killing Christopher Karl Regan of Iron River. Regan has been missing for 18 months. It's not know if police have found his body.
According to the documents, Iron County Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Powell has filed for a motion to have Cochran undergo a forensic examination to determine if she is competent to stand trial. Cochran has an alleged history of mental health issues, including a voluntary admission to a psychiatric unit in Indiana from April 18 to April 22.
It's also believed that she has suicidal intentions, as she has threatened to commit suicide while incarcerated. She has also threatened bodily harm against others during her incarceration. She reportedly made shanks out of her glasses while in Graves County Jail in Kentucky.
The court documents also state that she claimed a level of participation in the death of Christopher Regan. She is currently under investigation in Lake County, Illinois for the death of her husband Jason Cochran and has allegedly claimed responsibility for the death of other individuals.

Concealing the Death of an Individual
Lying to a Peace Officer - Violent Crime Investigation
Accessory After the Fact to a Felony
Cochran has a probable cause conference scheduled for May 31 at 8:30 a.m. and a preliminary exam scheduled for June 6 at 11 a.m.
