The U.P. Children's Museum has a new line-up for its spring programming and its looking to be more inclusive.

Beginning this month, the third Thursday of every month will be a Low Sensory Day. This includes dimming the lights, cutting the music and making the museum more accessible to children who prefer a quite place to play. UPCM management say it's very important to them to provide something for everyone.

"To be open and inclusive to everyone, that absolutely has to be our primary goal in everything that we do and so as the Children's Museum plans its exhibits and its programs we always are thinking about the challenges that someone might be having," said UPCM Executive Director, Nheena Weyer Ittner.

The Low Sensory Day is Thursday the March 21. It runs from 3-7 p.m. A group called Meditate Marquette will be on hand to provide some mindfulness and meditation.
