Due to construction, the Peter White Public Library Children’s Library will be moving to a temporary location in the Westwood Mall in Marquette Township in May 2018.

The Children’s Library will be closed for the move from April 30 through May 6, 2018. The Children’s Library will reopen on Monday May 7, 2018 at the Mall location. Children’s Library programming will be suspended from April 30 through June 8, 2018 and will resume on June 9 at the Westwood Mall location with the 2018 Summer Reading Program Kick Off Party. The Children’s Library should move back to the renovated and expanded space at PWPL in November 2018.

Starting May 9, 2018, the PWPL Children's Library at the Westwood Mall will have the following hours:

• Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

• Friday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

• Saturday: 9 a.m. - 1 pm.

• Sunday: Closed

The Westwood Mall is making space available for the Children’s Library providing the PWPL cover the cost of utilities. The Children’s Library will be located in the former Vanity Store, adjacent to Bath and Body Works.

Construction will also require that the entire lower level of the library is closed to the public starting May 1. Marquette Arts and Culture Center offices will be relocated to the Peter White Conference Room located on the main floor. The Community Room will be closed from May 1 through the duration of the lower level project.
