Escanaba's Alpha Omega house receives blessing

The Alpha Omega House in Escanaba opened its doors in January and today the home received it's official blessing and had a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Bishop John Doerfler conducted the blessing and led a prayer for those in need of the home's services.
The home is a faith based operation aimed at helping those in recovery and fighting addiction.
Since opening, the Escanaba home has had several individuals spend time there and there are currently three residents.
Deacon Terry Saunders helped organize the Escanaba house and says there's a large need for services like Alpha Omega.
"This is what I think God is calling us to. Treating our own communities to helping the people that are in front of us and then each community will pick up the ball and help the people in their community otherwise it's too big of a problem."
Admittance to the house can be a simple process either through a referral or as part of a treatment program or condition of parole.
Or you can contact Jason Robarge, the house director directly. The number is 399-1858.
