Copper Country Community Arts Center is inviting everyone to the 42nd annual Poor Artist sale.

This Saturday, more than 50 artists will set up shop at the CLK gym in Calumet. The sale features 12 new vendors this year.

It is a great time to get unique gifts for your friends and loved ones. Paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry and more will be available for purchase.

"When you support local artists you are keeping the money in our community," said CCCAC Executive Director Cynthia Cote. "We all know the term 'shop local,' and it is really important that we support people that are here earning a living and spending their money in the Copper Country."

The event starts with a special hour just for arts council members from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The sale opens to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 1, at the CLK gym in Calumet.
