How you can celebrate Halloween at the UP Children’s Museum
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - A spooky 21+ Halloween party is coming to one Marquette museum.
On Friday’s TV6 Morning News, U.P. Children’s Museum Executive Director Jessica Hanley sat down with Molly Birch to explain what you can expect at the event.
“Our event is unique in the way that it’s at the children’s museum,” Hanley said. “Not only do you get to come to a Halloween party and dress up and dance to a DJ, but you also get to play on all the exhibits if you would like to.”
Hanley says this is a 21+ event.
“Never any kids in the museum when we’re doing things that are adult,” Hanley said.
Hanley says events like the Halloween party help the museum raise funds for its day-to-day operations.
“It helps us to run new programming, it helps us buy new things that we need to do or refresh new exhibits,” Hanley said. “All that money stays right in the museum.”
Your ticket includes entry to the event, two drink tickets, snacks and more. Hanley encourages you to lean into the spooky season spirit.
“We have a tarot reader, there’s a DJ. There will be a costume contest,” Hanley said. “Lots of fun things to do around the museum.”
The event takes place at the museum on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 7 to 10 p.m. You can purchase tickets here.
