Fans camp out for first foldable iPhone

(WSVN) - Customers waited outside the Apple store in Miami Beach as a line formed Wednesday morning for Apple’s new iPhone Duo, released Friday.

The iPhone Duo is the first foldable iPhone. The new design folds down to approximately the size of a passport.

When unfolded, the Duo becomes the largest iPhone display Apple has ever made.

The larger inner screen lets users run two apps side by side.

The departure from the iPhone’s standard design is what has so many eager to pick up the Duo.

Apple said it will have limited numbers for walk-in customers when it launches.

It also said online orders sold out in minutes, even pushing delivery times for some customers until January.

However, that did not stop anyone from camping out to get an early grab on the new phone.

The iPhone Duo costs $1,999, and it was released at 7 a.m. Friday.
