Sasquatch afoot? ‘Bigfoot hunter’ investigating possible sighting in Louisiana
WESTLAKE, La. (KPLC/Gray News) - A sasquatch sighting was recently reported in southwest Louisiana, garnering the attention of bigfoot enthusiasts.
The sighting was reported north of Westlake the night of April 14, according to a Facebook post in the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization.
According to the post, the witness was doing yard work when she went onto lower ground in the woods near her house, which may have “triggered a tall sasquatch to crash away from her.”
The creature was then said to have entered a nearby canal.

A report submitted to the BFRO website stated that area pets were “behaving strangely” in the days leading up to the alleged sighting.
The group was founded by Matthew Moneymaker in 1995. Moneymaker was dubbed “America’s Top Bigfoot Hunter” by The Times.
“A deer trying to flee through waist-deep water is going to slow down a lot, slow down enough to enable a very tall bipedal primate to run through the water to catch it,” he said. “Sasquatches in this part of the country are often seen wading through swamps and flooded forests.”
