Right now is your chance to take a sleigh ride through their winter wonderland. The sleigh rides are planned for Dec. 17 to Jan. 2. After that, the lodge aims to hold sleigh rides every weekend until March.
As a thank you to the community for raising funds for its new mobile movie screen the MATI hosted a holiday hideaway event. Activities included a range from pottery making, to watching the grinch at mati’s new drive in theater. Event coordinator Sarah Engle says they are grateful for all the support.
At the Jacobetti Home, while donations are always welcome year-round, there is always a need during the holidays. A wish list is created and residents are looking for items like high-quality lotion, large-faced watches, and CD players. According to volunteer coordinator, Sarah Johnson donations like those items from the community are invaluable.
The Steve Mariucci Beacon House and Hope Free Lutheran Church pantries will be receiving two large packages of donations. They gathered today at Super One Foods in Marquette. In addition to the food donations, both parties received 100 dollar gift cards to Super One Foods.
