NMU men's basketball team to finish season with 5 of 7 games at home

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The NMU men's basketball will finish the regular season with five home games in the month of February.

The Wildcats, under first-year head coach Matt Majkrzak, have a 7-6 conference record, which puts them in third place in the GLIAC North Division. Majkrzak says the team hopes to host a first-round game in the GLIAC tournament.

Some key games are on the schedule. NMU hosts UW-Parkside this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Purdue Northwest Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Parkside is in fourth place in the division. The NMU women play two hours after the men's game starts.

NMU ends the regular season with a visit from rival Michigan Tech on Thursday, Feb. 27. The Huskies are in second place in the division.
