NMU looking into possibility of adding women's hockey

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Northern Michigan University is looking into the possibility of adding a women's hockey program.

The NMU Athletics Department will hold a press conference on Friday, October 26 at 5 p.m. in the Wildcat Room of the Berry Events Center.

A feasibility study will be discussed. Outside consultants will look into the overall effects of potentially adding the new sports program to NMU's intercollegiate athletics program.

Mike Snee (College Hockey Inc. Executive Director)
Katie Million (WCHA Women's League Commissioner)
Forrest Karr (NMU Director of Athletics)
