NMU Women's Soccer Falls to Ashland

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – The Northern Michigan University Women's Soccer team hosted Ashland University in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference matchup but fell to the Eagles 5-0.

STAT LEADERS
The Wildcats finished with ten shots, getting three for the team's best from sophomore Rachael Erste (Rockford, Mich.). Senior Kaitlynn Benson (Windsor, Ontario) and sophomore Caroline Halonen (Hartland, Mich.) both added two.

Senior Jamie Montgomery (Gaithersburg, Md.), sophomore Natalie Stampfly (Stevensville, Mich.) and freshman Evelyn Flor (Hugo, Minn.) each added one shot.

Junior goalkeeper Brianna Frontuto (Luxemburg, Wis.) tallied five saves and now has moved into second in NMU Women's Soccer history with 222 saves in her career.

UP NEXT
The Wildcats will now hit the road to take on Purdue University Northwest for a conference tilt on Friday, November 1. NMU defeated the Pride 2-1 earlier this season in a nonconference contest.
