MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) -- While the full team was off in preparation for their upcoming NMU Open next weekend, a few current and former Northern Michigan University nordic skiers were busy at the NorAm Super Tour race Saturday morning.
Current senior, Zak Ketterson (Bloomington, Minn.) won it all while his Wildcat teammate Mathias Aas-Rolid (Redalen, Norway) finished 18th overall.
Ketterson crossed the finish of the 10 km race in 27:33.1 for the Open Men's crown followed by Aas-Rolid with a time of 28:44.9.
Former Wildcat competitors in the Open included Adam Martin and Ian Torchia in fourth and seventh, respectively.
Ketterson and Aas-Rolid will join the rest of the Wildcats back in action next weekend when NMU hosts the annual NMU Open in Ishpeming, Michigan.
