ASHLAND, Ohio (WLUC) – The Northern Michigan University Men's Soccer team hit the road for the first time in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action but fell to Ashland University in a tight 1-0 match.
Sophomore goalkeeper Patrick Restum (Okemos, Mich.) posted seven saves on the night for a career-high.
Senior Luca Lippert (Langen, Germany) tallied three shots to lead the Wildcats. Seniors Lewis Murray (Edinburgh, Scotland) and Callum Olpin (Norwich, England) both added two shots. Five players chipped into the effort as each posted a shot.
The Wildcats fall to 3-4 on the season, 2-1 in the GLIAC while Ashland improved to 1-5, 1-2 in league play. NMU returns to action Sunday afternoon when they visit Davenport University for another GLIAC matchup.
