Marquette wins two State Skiing Championships again

schuss mountain, mI. The Marquette Boys won their seventh straight Division One State Skiing title while the Marquette Girls made it four in a row at the finals in the Lower Peninsula.

Individually - Marquette's Hayden Kauppila won the giant slalom and was second in the slalom. Aaron Grzelak was second in the giant slalom. Keaton Jones, Truman Durand and Logan Audette also contributed to the Redmen score.

Individually - Marquette's Ainsley Kirk won the giant slalom and was fourth in the slalom. Teammate Jacey Johnson was second in both the giant slalom and slalom. Natalie Robinia and Ada Bernard also provided solid finishes to join the team total.

The Division Two finals were held at Boyne Mountain. Houghton's Reed Heathman was sixth in the giant slalom while Gremlin Lydia Salmi was 13th in the slalom.
