KANSAS CITY, Mo. Michigan Tech senior defender Rachel Wall has been named to the 2018 United States Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II All-Midwest Region 3rd Team, announced on Tuesday. Wall helped guide the Huskies to a 10-6-1 overall record, a fourth place regular season finish in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and the programs seventh straight postseason appearance.

Wall, a senior from Eagan, Minnesota, helped the Huskies record seven shutouts this year while limiting opponents to just 18 goals in 17 total matches. The Huskies ranked fourth in the GLIAC in total shutouts through the quarterfinal round of the tournament. During her career, Wall has created havoc for opposing offenses and has been an integral part of a Huskies defense that ranks as one of the best in the GLIAC and nation each season.

Wall was named 2nd Team All-GLIAC this season after earning All-GLIAC Honorable Mention accolades following the 2017 campaign. Wall's work in the classroom has also been recognized with a spot on the GLIAC Academic All-Excellence Team each of the last two years.

The Huskies recorded double digit win totals for the fifth time in the nine-year history of the program in 2018 and will enter the offseason with a lot to build on in anticipation of the 2019 campaign next fall.
