Isaiah Johnson Named GLIAC Player of the Week

BAY CITY, Mich. (WLUC) -- Senior Isaiah Johnson (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) was named the first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week of the 2018-19 season.

Johnson scored a career-high 33 points and tied a career-high with five made three-pointers as he led the Wildcats to a 77-59 victory over Lewis University Sunday. He also reached 1,000 points in his career during the game. In the team's first game of the season on Saturday with McKendree University, Johnson finished with 24 points, making four three-pointers.

On the season, the senior captain is shooting 64.5% from the field and 64.3% from the three-point line. He also has dished out four assists and has one block and a steal after two games this season.

The Wildcats are 2-0 this season and will look to make it 3-0 as they host the University of Minnesota-Duluth Tuesday night at 7:30 in the Berry Events Center.
