HOUGHTON, Mich. (WLUC) - The Michigan Tech men's basketball program and Head Coach Kevin Luke are pleased to announce the addition of Isaiah Bridges (Midland, Michigan) for the 2019-20 season. Bridges has signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career as a Husky.
"Isaiah is a perimeter player that has the ability to play the one through five positions on the floor," Coach Luke said. "He is very skilled, has a good IQ, unselfish, can score the basketball and is a complete player overall. He is a good addition to our program because of his versatility to handle the ball, play in the post, and shoot the three-point shot effectively."
Bridges, a 6'4 forward from Midland High School, earned multiple honors for his play on the court this past season. Bridges was an A.P. All-State Honorable Mention selection, Saginaw Valley League First Team All-Conference honoree, named to the Saginaw Area Dream Team, and was the Midland Daily News Dream Team Player of the Year. Bridges averaged 20.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game in 2018-19 and helped guide his team to a District Championship.
Bridges joins Tyler Robarge (Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin) and Matt Ojala (Calumet, Michigan) in the 2019-20 recruiting class.
