Huskies 17th, Wildcats 19th in USCHO Poll

HOUGHTON, Mi. The Michigan Tech hockey team is ranked No. 17 in this week's USCHO poll. It is the first time the Huskies appeared in the top 20 this season after receiving votes in the last five polls and six overall in 2019-20.

Tech is 13-9-1 overall and unbeaten in 11 of the last 14 games. The Huskies won the 55th annual Great Lakes Invitational with wins over Michigan State and Michigan for the first time in tournament history. Tech then split its final nonconference series at No. 15 Arizona State over the weekend.

The Huskies are fourth in the WCHA standings with an 8-6 record and return to conference play against No. 16 Bowling Green this weekend. The puck drops at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 6:07 p.m. Saturday at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena.

The hockey team will wear special Lend-A-Paw jerseys Friday and will host a silent auction during the game to auction off the uniforms. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Big Brothers Big Sisters – UP Kids. MORE INFO
