HANCOCK, Mich. (WLUC) – Junior Marcus Gloss has been named the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week for Dec. 10, as released by the league office.
Gloss earns his third career NCHA Defensive Player of the Week award after leading Finlandia to an unbeaten 2-0-1 week. He started the week with a 20-save effort against Hamline (Dec. 3), helping the Lions earn a 4-1 decision.
On the weekend against No. 11 MSOE (Dec. 6-7), Gloss made 33 saves in Friday’s 2-2 draw and followed that up with 35 more stops in Saturday’s 3-1 victory. For the week, he posted a 1.29 GAA and made 88 total saves to record a .957 save percentage, while also holding opponents to a 0-for-15 showing on the power play.
