Finlandia Men's Hockey Closes Out Series With Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. (WLUC) – The Finlandia University men’s hockey team (0-6, 0-4 NCHA) fell 9-1 to #9 Adrian (4-1-1, 3-1 NCHA), Saturday afternoon at Arrington Ice Arena.

In the first period, Finlandia and Adrian were both very active combining for a total of 25 saves. The Bulldogs struck first just two minutes in to the contest. The Lions countered with two great shots turned away in the next minute.

At the 15:35 mark of the first period, freshman Phil Schader had a potential goal robbed by the Bulldog goalie. Adrian scored twice in the final three minutes of the opening period and twice in the first five minutes of the second period to take control.

Senior Blake Peavey scored in the third period with assists from freshman Hunter Moreland and sophomore Teddy Randell. On face-offs, sophomore Tyler Watungwa had 11 wins and Peavey recorded 10.

Finlandia stays on the road, Friday, Nov. 22 playing Lawrence. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. CST
