Baraga's Jahfetson going to Finlandia for basketball

HANCOCK, Mi. Martina Jahfetson (Baraga, Mich.) has committed to play for the Finlandia University women’s basketball team. She is planning on majoring in Criminal Justice and Biology.

Jahfetson closed out a strong career leading Baraga High School to the state quarterfinals. She averaged 11 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals a game as the Vikings went 21-4.

Jahfetson was named Copper Mountain Conference MVP and earned All-Copper Mountain Conference Dream Team and All-U.P. Division 4 second team honors. As a junior she was All-Copper Mountain Conference second team and All-U.P. Division 4 honorable mention. Jahfetson played AAU basketball for Level UP Express.
