ADAMS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Workers cutting trees in Adams Township Wednesday discovered an abandoned meth lab, and the Houghton County Sheriff's Office is looking for suspects.
Authorities say the workers were cutting trees along the power lines within the confines of a concrete tunnel near the old Stella Cheese Factory between Baltic and Brooklyn Location.
Authorities were called to the scene and confirmed it was a meth lab. The scene was littered with components to produce meth. It appeared to have been an active site within the last few months. UPSET detectives were called to the scene to verify the lab and to help clean up.
No arrests were made, authorities say, and there are no suspects right now.
Anyone with information should call 911 or the Houghton County Sheriff's Office at 906-482-0055.
