MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - A couple of local female entrepreneurs shared their stories with community members on Wednesday evening.
Innovate Marquette SmartZone hosted this women in entrepreneurship panel discussion.
Guests had the opportunity to network with other women and to learn other business owner's journeys.
Ruth Solinski of RTI Surgical monitored the evening.
The panel included Marina Dupler of Barrel + Beam, Shailah Bunce of Rock River Farm, Jen Ray of Donckers and The Delft Bistro, and Madeline Goodman of Madgoodies Studio.
Kylie Bunting is the Marketing Director at Innovate Marquette SmartZone and she thinks events like these are a great opportunity for business members to meet and connect.
"I think the best way we can more forward and we can try new things is to learn from one another, so that's where these type of opportunities are really great to come and hear other people's journeys,” says Bunting. “To really know that anybody can do it, anybody can start a business."
The public also had the chance to taste a variety of the beers at the brewery and enjoyed food provided by Café Bodega.
