NORWAY, Mich. (WLUC) - West Michigan’s Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry made a stop in Norway Friday. Grace United Methodist and Bethany Lutheran Church handed out over 15 thousand pounds of food to those in need.
Guests were also given a free meal to eat while they wait for their food bags. The churches host Feeding America five times each year to help local people as much as possible.
"I get a lot of thank yous for doing this. Some people apologize for coming because they had not done it before, but we're not here to judge,” Grace United’s Pastor Irene White said. “We're here to help and we do it because I tell them because we love Jesus and want to share his love with you."
The church is always looking for volunteers to help when the truck comes to town. For information on how you can do that, you can call either church directly.
