IRON RIVER, Mich. (WLUC) - It was one stop shopping for parents in Iron River on Tuesday. The West Iron District Library hosted their annual Parenting Fair.
The event brought many local groups and clubs to one area for parents to sign their children up. Groups included Great Start and the Iron County 4-H programs.
The library has hosted this event for 23 years. Each year parents can learn more information around the groups in the area.
"There's a lot of new families in town and maybe they aren't aware of what is in our community within Iron County,” Library Assistant Director Stephanie Swenski said. “It's nice to be able to reintroduce those agencies to people that maybe they've heard of them before and they've offered new programs. Or maybe they're new to town and we can provide that information to them. Families really appreciate the fact that everything is in one spot."
While the parents walked around the fair, volunteers played games with the children.
