MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - All are welcome to leave reality behind Saturday night and enter a world of dreams.

The Marquette Spectacle starts with a parade down Washington Street at 5:00 p.m. Followed by pop-up art installations and performances at Harlow Park on Washington Street from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The finale starts at 7:00 p.m. on Bluff Street adjacent to Harlow Park.

The Spectacle Artistic Director Niikah Hatfield encourages everyone to dress up and attend the festivities.

"The Spectacle is a chance to see something outside the ordinary, be something outside of the ordinary,” said Hatfield. “You can come be a part of the parade, be a part of the performance, and just let yourself be free for a night and leave reality at the door.”

To be in the parade, arrive at the Marquette Commons by 4:30 p.m.

If the weather does not cooperate, the rain date is set for Sunday at the same time.
