Volunteer clean-up planned at Clark Lambros Beach Park

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - This Friday, Superior Watershed Partnership, Travel Marquette and Black Rocks Brewery are teaming together to clean up Clark Lambros Beach Park.

The Volunteer Dune Restoration event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Volunteers will plant beach grass and native plants to help with human- and weather-related erosion. They'll also do other beach clean-up activities.

Organizers will have the tools. All they're asking is for people to show up and bring a lunch if needed.

"I think this is a great opportunity not only for our organization and the Great Lakes Conservation Corps, but for volunteers and tourists alike to come up here and get the opportunity to help out our beautiful asset here,” said Program Manager Emily Leach.

If interested in helping, contact Emily Leach at emily@superiorwatersheds.org or call Superior Watershed Partnership’s main office at 906-228-6095, extension 15.
