Veteran's Ball held at K.I. Sawyer Heritage Air Museum

KI SAWYER, Mich. (WLUC) - A “Veteran’s Ball' was held Saturday evening at the K.I. Sawyer Heritage Air museum, bringing together veterans and families of all branches of the military.

The ball was complete with food, drinks, guest speakers, and live music.

Organizers said the ball is a great way to not only honor local veterans, but to get people together and bring attention to the non-profit museum.

"It's good for the museum because it brings the veterans together and also brings people from other walks of life together, too,” said Donald Poe, who serves on the Heritage Air Museum Board of Directors.

Poe added that the ball took around six months to plan, with the set-up taking a couple of weeks.
