IRON RIVER, Mich. (WLUC) - Iron Mountain's VA Hospital hosted two veteran's town halls on Thursday. One was in Iron River and the other in Spread Eagle. VA representatives travel across the UP and northern Wisconsin to host them.
All veterans are invited to come out and learn more about what the hospital does and its services provided. Thursday's presentation included a look at new programs at the hospital.
"This trip we are introducing our new Whole Health Program, which is a nationwide VA program,” Public Relations Officer Brad Nelson said. “It expands the care of our veterans to include all parts of a veteran’s life and what they want to get out of their healthcare."
Town halls are also a great opportunity for veterans to provide feedback to the hospital. Thursday was the 32nd town hall this fiscal year.
