MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum gave people the opportunity to go on a journey Sunday night, a culinary journey.
This was the 19th straight year that the museum has held the adult fundraiser. 16 chefs from local restaurants crafted their own versions of great foods from all over the world for people to try. The event has grown every year into one of the biggest fundraisers for the museum, contributing close to $20,000 towards maintenance and upkeep.
“Every year it seems like out chef venues kick it up several notches and almost compete with one another,” said Children’s Museum Director, Nheena Weyer Ittner. “So you will find delicacies here that you can't find in their restaurants, but they're so mouthwatering good.”
Chefs and those in attendance say, they are all looking forward to the 20th anniversary next year.
