MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Opioid abuse will be in the spotlight Wednesday as professionals and community members gather for two opioid awareness events.
U.S. Attorney Andrew Birge, who serves the Western District of Michigan, is speaking at both gatherings. The first event is for professionals, and the second event is open to the public.
The U.P. Opioid Community Awareness Summit is from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Northern Michigan University in Jamrich Hall Room 1100. Everyone is invited to learn more about opioid abuse and addiction.
