The second annual U.P. Home Builders Association job fair was at the Michigan Works in Marquette on Thursday.

The job fair is a benefit for the members of the H.B.A. who are small and large residential builders.

Members are mostly in the Marquette area, however there are members in Escanaba, Iron Mountain and all around the U.P.

With the hint of warm weather across the U.P., construction companies are assembling crews with a wide variety of experience, especially skilled trades.

"General laborers, skilled carpenters, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, pipe layers," U.P. Home Builders Association Executive Director Sarah Schultz said. "So, all of the resumes and applications here today will get seen by about 70 different builders in the U.P., if they can't come today, they can do it online or come to the office too."
