Upper Peninsula State Bank celebrated the opening of their new Gladstone branch earlier today.

It took just under a year to construct the new branch after ground was broken at the site on July 12th of 2017.

Today the bank invited the public to join them for the ribbon cutting as well as a chance to check out the new facility.

Bob Bink is the chairman of the board for UPSB and he spoke to those gathered at the event

"We're a community bank that makes people's lives better. We advise people and we help them. Money is money at every bank but we provide an added value to your visits to our bank and that's what we will bring to Gladstone."

The new branch will be hosting an ice cream social from 11am until 2pm on Wednesday.
