MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum in Marquette is gearing up for their annual Science Night, Thursday, March 14.

It will be a night full of science-themed crafts, live music and a 10 topping sundae bar featuring Culver's frozen custard. Members of Northern Michigan University's science clubs will also be on hand to work with the kids.

"Science is extremely important and then if we can make it fun for kids, and make it non-intimidating and it can open up a whole new world for them," said UPCM Executive Director, Nheena Weyer Ittner. "It's also special for our little kids to meet some of these Northern students and for the Northern students to spend some time with our little kids."

The Children's Museum Science Night goes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Marquette. The event is free to attend, thanks to a sponsorship from GEI Consultants.
