U.P. All Star Football players host camp for Bay Cliff kids

POWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) Players from the U.P. All Star Football game were at Bay Cliff Health Camp on Thursday.

They were hosting a football camp for the kids there. Bay Cliff is a seven-week camp providing speech, occupational and physical therapy to kids ages three to 18. Every summer the players stop by for a day long camp and dinner. It's a visit that's quickly become a highlight of the summer for both the players and kids.

"This is the most special part of the week I think, obviously we're here for a football game but our trip to Bay Cliff has really become the signature of the All Star Week, so we get just as much out of it as the Bay Cliff kids do and it really teaches our kids to use their football abilities and use what they have to give back," said Todd Goldbeck, organizer of U.P. All Star Football.

The players also joined the kids at camp for a dinner following the football fun. The U.P. All Star Football game is this Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Superior Dome.

You can also catch the rebroadcast of the game on our sister station FOX UP at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
