MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association needed more help than yesterday's snowfall to prepare for tonight's races.

Crews began preparing for the UP200 and Midnight Run dog sled races, as they laid out snow in downtown Marquette

Oberstar provided the additional tens of thousands yards of snow for the start of the race, as they have in years past.

From Sixth Street down to Lakeshore Drive, Washington Street will be transformed into sled dog race track.

This year the snow will stay on Washington through Saturday morning for the start of the Polar Roll.
