Fire destroys vacant Gladstone house

GLADSTONE. Mich. (WLUC) - Gladstone Public Safety officers battled a house fire early Sunday morning.

Gladstone Public Safety says that officers were called to a home at 1311 Delta Ave. for a structure fire at approximately 2:10 a.m. and stayed on the scene until 7:00 a.m.

The vacant home was a total loss. Two neighboring homes also sustained damage.

Gladstone Public Safety was assisted on the scene by the Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department and Escanaba Township Fire Department.

The Brampton Township Volunteer Fire Dept. also assisted at the scene. Fire hydrants in the area were not working at the time and the Brampton Twp. Vol. Fire Dept. provided water via tanker.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
