MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - With Spring Break right around the corner, Holiday Travel Vacations Owner, Laura Chapman, says to start planning your trip now if you haven't already.
"The way to get the best deals is to start very early if you can,” Chapman.
Chapman adds that many people have already planned their trips, but it's not too late to plan your trip.
Chapman recommends using a travel agency to plan everything in order to stay within your budget and get the vacation you want with no surprises. She adds that her agency has used the same travel partners for years, so you’re more likely to snag good deals by planning through them.
"We match our clients up with the right resort. If it's a honeymoon couple, they might not want to be at a resort with a bunch of kids running around and screaming and yelling. We're really good at that,” said Chapman.
Spring Break is one of the busiest travel times for airports.
K.I. Sawyer International Airport Manager, Duane Duray, says to start booking flights now since they fill up fast.
"People should already be looking at their travel plans to ensure that the flight schedules and availability are there for their travels,” Duray added.
Chapman adds that if you are interested in going through a travel agency to plan your trip, it's best to make an appointment and have your budget and vacation ideas ready. She adds that for an all-inclusive resort, you should expect to pay around $1,500 per person. This includes airfare, food, drinks, and the stay at the resort.
"We really recommend this time of the year that people make appointments because it is crazy busy here. We still have some select specials to beachy areas that are available,” Chapman said.
