GLADSTONE, Mich. (WLUC) - The great American family road trip. It's something that almost everyone has childhood memories of and it's the subject at the heart of Gladstone High School's latest theatrical production, "Leaving Iowa".

The family friendly show premiered to rave reviews at Jeff Daniel's Purple Rose Theatre several years ago.

The show revolves around the vacations of the Browning family and a trip down memory lane that is taken by the families oldest son, Don.

The show's director, Kelly O'Driscoll says that this a show for everyone.

"This show is about family vacations. It's about the dynamic of brother and sister fighting in the backseat and mom and dad trying to keep it together and getting lost and going on new adventures and just all the rigamarole that comes with that."

The show opens this Thursday at 7pm with another 7pm show on Friday and a final performance on Saturday at 5pm. All performances are in the Gladstone High School auditorium and tickets are available at the door.
