MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - An independent TED talk series at Northern Michigan University on Saturday focuses on how to follow your passions. It's called TEDxNMU "Diving Deeper."
Organizers Allison Opheim and Tyler Penrod say there will be 13 speakers talking about they cultivated their passions to achieve their goals. There will also be eight breakout sessions to choose from in addition to the speakers.
Madeline Goodman, owner of Madgoodies Studio, will be hosting one of the breakout sessions. She majored in metalwork at NMU and now owns her own metalworking company making jewelry and other art pieces.
TEDxNMU Diving Deeper will be at the Forest Roberts Theatre on Saturday, March 16 beginning at 1 p.m. Tickets are $45 and can be found at NMU box offices or by clicking here. NMU students only need to show their student ID to get a free ticket.
