K.I. SAWYER, Mich. (WLUC) - A K.I. Sawyer man charged with armed robbery is being held in the Marquette County Jail.
At around 6:15 p.m. Thursday police received a call of a man attempting to steal merchandise from the Sawyer Village Shoppette.
Forsyth Township Police and Michigan State Police responded to the call.
After leaving the store, the clerk confronted the man outside, where he allegedly pulled a knife before fleeing on foot.
A witness saw the man enter his house in K.I. Sawyer, and alerted the police.
Police later arrested the man without incident at his residence. He is charged with armed robbery.
