Community support for the Mountaineers

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - The Iron Mountain High School Varsity Boys Basketball team holds an undefeated 27-0 season record and are on their way to the Division 3 State Finals.

While the boys team made an appearance at the State Finals in 1939 in the U.P. tournament, this is the first time ever they will be playing downstate in the State Final game.

This is something to commemorate and fans demanded shirts. Advanta Print took the hint and has been booming, printing custom t-shirts for the State Final game.

"Everybody is excited. We hear it all over the place, people on the streets, other schools. They broadcast it at the Iron Mountain auditorium. We had it steaming here. The radio station has it streaming. Businesses are streaming. It's quite an excitement for everyone,” said Advanta Print Owner, Chris Freedman.

Advanta Print has printed more than 300 shirts in the past few days.

The Mountaineers will be playing Pewamo-Westphalia Saturday in hopes of a 28-0 record and State Title.
