The Superior String Alliance (SSA) continued their summer tour with a stop at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette Monday night. The trio played what they called an eclectic mix of music spanning four centuries.
From songs with a bluegrass background to traditional chamber music and even classical composers like Bach there was something for most everyone Monday night. The group's Executive Director say the tour helps bring all music lovers together.
"It's great because music is all about bringing people together, it's all about community that is the main thing we're all about and it's super cool to be able to share music in this way because whether you're a performer or an audience member we're all in it together," said SSA Executive Director, Danielle Simandl.
The Superior String Alliance continues their tour with a stop in Munising July 16. After that they begin their annual camp in Michigamme with a performance at the Moonshine Fine Arts Gallery Wednesday July 17. For more information on the SSA, check the related links section on this page.
