A string chamber performance was held tonight by the Superior String Alliance at the Marquette Regional History Center.

The ensemble is composed of a violin, viola, and two cellos. Pieces performed were a wide variety of classical, blues, and jazz pieces. The organization holds a music camp every summer as well. 102 campers have already signed up making this their biggest year yet.

“Superior String Alliance Music Camp is held in Michigamme at Presbytery Point,” said Danielle Simandl, Executive Director, “and it starts on Sunday and we run for three weeks and we serve grades 4-12.”

The group has three more performances over the next three days: tomorrow in Calumet Theater at 7:30 PM, Friday at the Michigamme Moonshine Art Gallery at 6:30 PM, and Saturday in Munising’s Falling Rock Café at 7:00 PM.
