MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Hundreds of spectators gathered in Marquette's Lower Harbor Monday evening to get a closer look at a super yacht.
The 'Hampshire' pulled in just before 8:00 p.m. The ship is 217 feet long.
The vessel passed through the Soo Locks last night making its way across Lake Superior.
Online estimates are the super yacht costs about $125 million.
TV6 has been unable to confirm what the yacht is doing here and who is onboard. TV6 asked a member of the security staff and he declined to give any information.
The Milwaukee Business Journal reports the Hampshire was was docked in Milwaukee last week. It can accommodate 12 guests in six cabins and has a crew of 19 in eight cabins.
