MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Marquette Maritime Museum now offers a guided sunrise tour.

The tours take place on the second Tuesday of each month, starting at 5:45 AM. Visitors can take a tour of Marquette's possibly haunted lighthouse while learning more about the 157 years of history.

Built in 1866, the lighthouse is now the oldest standing building in Marquette. Rooms are designed with various themes including a diving room containing wreckage and illustrations.

There are a few other special events after the sunrise tours on various days during the summer. All of which was influenced by the director of the museum herself.

"We just had our second tour of the season. We hold them on the second Tuesday of each month and the times usually vary depending on when the sun rises. This morning we got in at 5:45 AM," said Hilary Billman, Director of Maritime Museum.

Tickets are $10 and kids 12 and under are $5.
