CHASSELL,Mich. (WLUC) - Strawberry Fest in Chassell was in full swing for day two of all things strawberry.
The beautiful weather drew a large crowd all throughout the day.
The festival started out with a pancake and sausage breakfast then carried through the day with the parade and a chicken BBQ hosted by the Chassell Fire Department.
The Lions Club, who put on the festival, say they were happy with the turn out.
"The turnout is higher than we anticipated, we've got people coming in from all over the country. We're starting to run low on shortcake, which is a little bit early, but it's a good thing. All the vendors are selling out and having to restock, so it's been a great festival," said Dan Crane, Lions Club Secretary.
Organizers say they will have used close to 2,000 pounds of strawberries once the festival is over.
